Historians and scholars tell us that the four original professions were law, medicine, the clergy, and the armed forces.
Each one of these was considered a profession rather than simply a job because it was founded upon service to others. While we focus on making our communities safer by demanding that individuals, companies, and manufacturers are held accountable when they act irresponsibly, we also believe in serving our community in other ways.
Increasing Literacy with LIFT
Literacy is a cause that has become very dear to us. When someone doesn’t know how to read, their options in life are so extremely limited. The Franklin Law Firm, LLP, has teamed up with Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT) to reach into the neighborhoods where people live, work, and worship to strengthen our communities by teaching adults to read.
Sadly, 1 in 5 adults living in North Texas cannot read. This means that more than 800,000 adults in Dallas County alone are struggling with literacy, and this number is projected to grow to more than 1 million adults by 2030! Teaching these adults to read releases a world of opportunities for them. To learn more information and see how you can help, click here to visit their website.
Promoting a Safer Community with MADD
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (“MADD”) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving. “The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.”
The Franklin Law Firm, LLP has become a powerful advocate for DWI victims and their families. These accidents are 100% preventable – by holding drunk drivers accountable we not only help the injured victims and their families, but we also make our community safer. While holding drunk drivers fully accountable is crucial, we also believe it is important to make every effort to prevent these tragedies before they happen. That’s why The Franklin Law Firm, LLP is a proud partner with MADD – working in our communities to raise awareness, provide support and resources, and save lives.
