Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation
Jason Franklin is honored to be a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Each year, the top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. Election to the Fellows is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas. Nomination is based on outstanding contributions to the legal profession as well as a commitment to the community. Each nominee must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Once elected, a Fellow is a part of a network of top attorneys in Texas representing various ages, backgrounds and practice areas, but all with clear agreement on the importance of professional integrity and promoting the cause of justice in Texas. The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the nation.
Texas Board of Legal Specialization – Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law
Only approximately 2% of Texas attorneys are board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. Lawyers certified in Personal Injury Trial Law are considered Specialists in the field of Personal Injury. Those attorneys not board certified cannot claim to be Specialists in the field. Jason Franklin is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Texas Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Rising Stars
The selection to Super Lawyers – Rising Stars is made by Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Rising Stars recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state – those who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Only 2.5% of Texas attorneys are chosen for this honor in any given year. Jason Franklin has been selected for this honor on five separate occasions: 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2016.
Jason Franklin has been named to Texas Super Lawyers for 2015. No more than 5 percent of all lawyers in the State of Texas are named to Super Lawyers.
Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum – Life Member
The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Jason Franklin is a life member.
The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers
The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only national organization composed of The United States’ top trial lawyers. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature, and profile as civil plaintiff or criminal defense trial lawyers. Jason Franklin has been a member since 2013.
The Better Business Bureau
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a leader in advancing marketplace trust. BBB sees trust as a function of two primary factors: integrity and performance. Integrity includes respect, ethics, and intent. Performance speaks to a business’s track record of delivering results in accordance with BBB standards and/or addressing customer concerns in a timely, satisfactory manner. BBB ensures that high standards for trust are set and maintained. BBB Accreditation is an honor – and not every business is eligible. Texas Trial Lawyers Association – Director
The Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) was founded in 1949 to protect the rights of Texas’ families. Today, more than 60 years later, TTLA has never been more committed to this endeavor. Since its inception, TTLA has been a steadfast defender of the civil justice system in Texas. Through exceptional leadership and vision, TTLA has worked hard to ensure that ordinary citizens always have a voice in the legislative process. Jason Franklin is on the board of directors.
Dallas Trial Lawyers Association – President-Elect
The Dallas Trial Lawyers Association‘s mission is to advance the cause of those who are damaged in person and property and who must seek redress therefore at law; to resist the continuing efforts to curtail the rights of such persons; to encourage cooperation among lawyers engaged in the furtherance of such objectives; and, through such cooperation, to promote justice and human welfare. Jason Franklin was President-Elect and has now been elected President.
American Association for Justice
The mission of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) is to promote a fair and effective justice system and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in The United States’ courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
College of the State Bar of Texas
The College of the State Bar of Texas is an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas. Members are qualified attorneys who are interested in both high ethical standards and improved training for all Texas attorneys. The College recognizes Texas lawyers who attend at least double the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) required by the State Bar of Texas.
