Jason Franklin is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization He is a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas, a life-member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and has been repeatedly named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars. In addition, Jason currently sits as the President-Elect of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and on the Board of Directors of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Education with Honors

Jason graduated from Arizona State University Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in political science. He then obtained his Juris Doctor Law Degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law with several honors, including induction into SMU’s Barristers, as well as the National Order of Barristers. He received the Excellence in Advocacy Award for his participation on numerous Mock Trial and Moot Court teams. In addition, he served on the Computer Law Review and Technology Journal and served as Vice President of the Board of Advocates.

Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation

Jason Franklin is honored to be a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Each year, the top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. Election to the Fellows is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas. Nomination is based on outstanding contributions to the legal profession as well as a commitment to the community. Each nominee must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Once elected, a Fellow is a part of a network of top attorneys in Texas representing various ages, backgrounds and practice areas, but all with clear agreement on the importance of professional integrity and promoting the cause of justice in Texas. The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the nation.

Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization

Only approximately 2% of Texas attorneys are board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. Lawyers certified in personal injury trial law are considered specialists in the field of Personal Injury. Those attorneys not board certified cannot claim to be specialists in the field.

College of the State Bar of Texas

The College of the State Bar of Texas is an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas. Members are qualified attorneys who are interested in both high ethical standards and improved training for all Texas attorneys. The College recognizes Texas lawyers who attend at least double the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) required by the State Bar of Texas.

The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers

The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only national organization composed of America’s Top Trial Lawyers. Membership is extended solely to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state who exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature, and profile as civil plaintiff or criminal defense trial lawyers. Jason Franklin has been a member since 2013.

Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum – Life Member

The Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

Texas Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Rising Stars

The Selection to Super Lawyers Rising Stars is made by Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Rising Stars recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state – those who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Only 2.5% of Texas attorneys are chosen for this honor in any given year. Jason Franklin has been selected for this honor on five separate occasions: 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2016.

Jason Franklin has been named to Texas Super Lawyers for 2015. No more than 5 percent of all lawyers in the State of Texas are named to Super Lawyers.
